BOOK II - CHAPTER XX CONCERNING THE SILKEN CLOTH WHEN any Instrument of the Art is properly consecrated, it should be wrapped in silk and put away, as we have said. Take, then, silk of any colour except black or grey, whereon write these words and Characters. Perfume it with incense of good odour, sprinkle it, and recite Psalms lxxxii. ; lxxii. ; cxxxiv. ; lxiv. After this thou shalt put it aside for seven days with sweet spices; and thou shalt use this silk to wrap all the Instruments of the Art.
